Whales feed in many
locations of the Bay of Fundy and not always in the same location.
With the help of our Scout Boat and the capabilities of our Catamaran
we can search and visit more of these areas. These factors provide our
guests with St. Andrews' highest success rate, especially in regards
to humpback whales.
Unlike the more common
minke and finback whales, humpbacks will commonly raise their tails
when they dive. If you want the opportunity to observe humpbacks from
St. Andrews and get that "tail shot" you need to ensure your
choice of operator can and is intending to go the distance. The very
high majority of humpback whale sightings occur in the open waters of
the Bay, more than 30 kms from St. Andrews.
